Magpie privacy policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Magpie backs up the products of Shopify stores and lets the store owner restore them. This page explains what Magpie stores, why, and how to have it deleted.
What Magpie stores
- Product data from your store: titles, descriptions, prices, SKUs, barcodes, tags, options, metafields, image links, inventory quantities at each location, and the manual order of your collections.
- Your store's address and the access token Shopify gives Magpie when you install it, so Magpie can take backups and restore them.
Magpie does not read or store your customers, orders, or payment information. It does not use cookies for tracking, and it does not sell or share your data with anyone.
Why
Only to take a backup of your products each day and to put them back when you ask it to.
How long it is kept
Each backup is kept for 30 days, then deleted. When you uninstall Magpie, Shopify tells Magpie 48 hours later to erase your store's data, and Magpie deletes every backup and the access token for your store.
Where it is stored
On Magpie's server and database provider, over encrypted connections.
Your requests
